Rubber tension motorhome
awning canopy tie down straps
Suitable for Fiamma & Omnistor awnings
maximum height at front of canopy 2040mm 82"
Kit includes - 2 high visibilty straps complete with hooks linked via rubber tensioners to awning rail channel guide attachments (ground spikes not included)
Assembly and Operating instructions
First ensure the canopy stabilising legs are firmly pegged down. Slide the channel guide attachments into the awning rail channel and line them up with the canopy stabilising legs
Pull the the first strap taught and guage where you need to position the ground spike. Attach the hook to the top of the ground spike while maintaining tension on the strap
Hammer in the
ground spike at a 45 degree angle, as the ground spike is driven deeper the rubber tensioner will start to stretch, do not over tension the stretching of the tensioner combined with the natural "give" in the strap ensures the canopy is held firmly but not so rigidly that it may cause damage. If you require more or less tension move the ground spike accordingly. Once you are satisfied with the set up move on to the second strap and repeat the above
Check daily that the ground spikes have not worked loose
WARNING
Tie down kits are not a replacement for common sense !!!
Even in moderate winds the best course of action is to roll in the awning and avoid any risk of damage
Smart Outdoors takes no resposibility for damage or injury caused to
